Wisdom Teeth & Strep Throat

So, this has not been the most fun weekend of our lives, but we are glad we made it through. Matt got his wisdom teeth out on Friday (finally) without the anesthesia. He only had local anesthetic as opposed to the heavy duty stuff, so he felt all the pressure and cracking, etc.. I really was just waiting for him to get a migraine from the whole ordeal, and he certainly got one last night. Actually two, to be exact. Poor Matt. As if the pain from the wisdom teeth weren't enough, I'm sure the excruciating headache and vomiting filled his pain quota for the year.
Isaac came down with strep throat on Sunday night and has been pretty miserable. Daphne is just Daphne, but that is actually more difficult than if she were sick. Daphne has this way of actually being nicer when she is sick. It is as though she doesn't have the energy to be herself. Anyhow, I digress... So here are a few pics and cute quotes from our sick weekend!
I told Isaac to make his best " I have strep throat face" here. He was so pitiful. He wouldn't even walk to the car so that we could go to the dr. The one bright spot in his day was playing Lego Star Wars on the playstation with his dad. He was totally distracted from the pain. He was trying to get the game ready while Matt was getting something cold and smooth to eat and he called up, "Dad, Is it okay if I touch your controller?" He was trying to be so careful not to get anyone else sick!

So, Daphne and I were cuddling on the couch and she said,
"I love you to all of the stars and all of the planets and all of the spaces and down to the ocean and back up to all of the angels and to Jesus." I said, "Wow- that's really far." And Daphne replied, "I love you even further than that. I love you to Canada!"
Here they are enjoying some yummy powdered donuts:
I got Matt some yummy tomato soup to eat during his recuperation. Yesterday, I warmed some up for Daphne and she was exclaiming over how delicious it was. I left to get Isaac's prescription and when I returned, she said, "Mom, I have to tell you somethin'. I don't like the soup."
"But you were just saying how delicious is was."
"Well, I changed my mind."
"You changed you mind?"
"I changed my mind! Don't you ever change your mind, Like you are the queen of the world or somethin'?"
