Kumpins!

Needless to say, Victoria was excited to go to the "Kumpin Patch": We were planning on heading to a Pumpkin Patch for our FHE one Monday night a few weeks ago, and that day at school, a parent of one of my students gave us free tickets to Black Island Farms, which is one of the best around. They had lots of stuff for little kids, school age kids and teens. Here is the teeny tiny hay maze:

We went with our friends, the Abercrombies... you can see their son Zach here with Victoria:
They had plenty of farm animals to visit; the donkey brayed very loud and startled us a bit.

Here is their mountain for the goats to climb, which I thought was a little odd, but I guess they needed a way to channel the goats' climbing energy...

After we visited the farm animals, we went on a hay ride to pick out our "Kumpins" (as Tori calls them- I hope that's not a bad sign... Carole- you let me know, kay?)

After we picked out our free pumpkins, we went to check out the slides.
Here is one of the little kid ones:

Then Matt took Isaac and Daphne over to the big Hay Slides:

which some children were going down FACE FIRST:
While they were being little dare-devils, I took Tori on the little Cow and Pig Train ride:
We stopped by a few playground toys:

We had such a blast! Thanks to the Larsens for the free tickets!! Fall is in full swing, and I think I would really love fall if it weren't a sign that Winter is coming.
