Christmas Countdown, Day 16

December 16th: A Christmas Carol!
It was important to me to make this story a part of our Christmas activities- I think it has such a wonderful message! We originally recorded the new Disney's A Christmas Carol, with Jim Carrey. But after Matt watched it and showed me a few choice scenes, we can assure you that no child should see this movie at all! It is horrificly terrifying; sor tof like Pirates of the Caribbean meets A Christmas Carol. So, we opted for the old classic, Mickey's A Christmas Carol. On this particular night, we had Matt's sister's children at our house for a sleep over!
And for our treat: Homemade whipped cream and hot chocolate! Yum! Isaac and Luke:

Corbin, Daphne and Tori:

We had a discussion about how Christmas is not just a time to celebrate the events of Christ's birth, but how we also can take this time to study Jesus's teachings.

Our song for tonight? I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day!

And our scripture was Matthew 25:37-40

"Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
