Berchtesgaden

So, after our long Sound of Music Sight seeing day, we headed just a little outside of Salzburg to a little town called Berchtesgaden. Matt found the most delightful Bed and Breakfast for us, all nestled in the mountains:

Here is a little video of the kids there. (Not super cute or exciting, but you do see all three kiddos and the amazing view from our balcony.)

More of that amazing view. I'll have to try to hold it in my memory because none of these reproductions quite show the beauty of it all!

So, we woke up tired, but ready for another day of sight seeing. The main reason we chose to stay in Berchtesgaden is that it is right next to Hitler's Eagle's Nest, whcih was first on our list of locations for the day...

This is inside the Bed & Breakfast right by the breakfast area:

And even though we were in another country on Independence Day, we decided to dress the part and gave the kids little flags. Matt was pretty bummed to miss out on the fireworks, but I think seeing Austria made up for it! Zoom in on this if you can- Tori LOVES the flags and her expression is pretty adorable!

Hope y'all had a wonderful Independence Day back home!
