After we went to Rothenburg last weekend, we went to this church about 45 minutes away in Ulm, which has the tallest steeple in the world. It was pretty amazing and we tried very hard to get there on time so that we could walk up to the top of the steeple. It closes at 6:45 pm and the last tickets are sold at 5:45pm because it takes so long to walk to the top. We woke Tori up from her nap to get there and packed dinner so that we could make it in time. We drove down there and realized as we were entering the city that we probably couldn't use credit cards there and that we didn't have enough Euros to pay for everyone. So, we tried to find an ATM to get some cash out. It was about 5:35 and we were still trying to find one when we decided to just go to the church and see if they take cards, because otherwise we would miss the time for sure. We tried to find parking and kept turning to get closer to the church and found ourselves driving in a pedestrian only area, (which are very common around here). It is pretty tricky to figure out where they will be and we couldn't get out without driving all the way through. Matt pulled up in a big crowd of people and I ran out to go to buy tickets while Matt tried to find parking. I ran to the front desk and she asked if they took cards???
NO.
Where is a bank then?
Next door! Yay!
She said she would wait for me.
I ran next door and realized that I didn't have the card we needed to get cash out. Ugh.
So, I went back to the church and paced in front of the church waiting for Matt, who came running up a few minutes later, carrying Tori and Isaac and Daphne huffing and puffing from running the whole way. He had had to park about a 1/2 mile away and Tori was soaked from her apple juice spilling. He ran to the bank and got out the cash and we ran into the church and.....
it was too late to buy tickets.

We were able to go inside the Church and take pictures so we did that instead of climbing the enormous steeple. Here are a few pics:
This is the center aisle inside. That is Isaac and Daphne all the way down there in the middle of the aisle, if you can believe it. That's how enormous it is.
